5 Fun Night Activities You Can Share With Your Partner
It is recommended we continue dating after we married while we were engaged. Having pleasure and dedicating time together on a daily basis would help the marriage stay strong.
Fun and Date nights are normally on Friday evenings, but they can also be during the day on weekends, depending on what we want to do. It gives us something to anticipate throughout the week. We need to come up with a lot of fun and creative things to do together when we were dating and early in our marriage.
However, after a while, we might run out of ideas.
Here are 5 great date night ideas you can try:
1. Try something new with your partner:
This could be a new restaurant or activity that neither of us has experienced previously. We’ve spent some time making a list of eateries we’d like to visit. The list is based on local restaurant awards and Facebook friend recommendations. We’ve taken a pottery class, gone snowshoeing, and learned to curl, to name a few activities.
2. Watch a Favorite Film Again:
One of our favourite pastimes is viewing an old film with a personal value for us. We remember the memories associated with the film as we watch it. We rewatched “The Wedding Singer” because one of the songs in the film was one of the songs I sang to Olive on our wedding day.
We rewatched “Titanic” because it was the film we watched one night on our balcony when we set up our own improvised outdoor summer theatre. It’s fun to reminisce about our favourite moments together.
3. Introduce your partner to a new sport:
This is entertaining because one of us gets to play the role of “teacher” while the other plays the role of “student.”

4. Host a Baking Party:
We once spent a night preparing a large batch of chocolate-chip oatmeal cookies. They were fantastic! After that date night, we ate cookies for weeks.
5. Assist a friend:
Every now and again, you can spend your date assisting someone. You can go to a family member’s house and assist in home chores and house makeovers.
6. Treat yourself to a dessert:
We never go out for dessert, so this is a unique experience. We treated ourselves to a banana split and New York cheesecake the last time we did this. Yummy yummy!
7. Take Your Partner to a Favorite Location:
You should visit each other’s favourite places or places that have special value to you both. Your partner can show you around her childhood neighbourhood, showing you the pathways, the park, and her old school. It’s interesting to get a glimpse into your spouse’s life and hear about their experiences.
