5 Amazing reasons Igbo people travel much during Christmas

Christmas festivity like said in one of our recent article states that one of the ways Nigerians celebrate Christmas is via traveling and touching base with a lot of places.

But then, have you come to understand that one of the tribe that travels more than others in Nigeria is the Igbo people of South eastern part of the country.

Amazingly, Igbos will not travel much in the course of the year but will accumulate resources for the Christmas to meet with their people and enjoy the bliss of the season.

Igbos travel during Christmas for all manner of reasons. Below are 5 of those reasons they travel.

1. For bragging sake
If there is a basket full of reasons some igbo people travel, one of it could be to go flaunt their success at their kinsmen in the village. Some will even go with their latest car, lots of money and hefty body guards just to tell villagers that they are not the same person that left the village.

2. To Enjoy life and relax
Igbos love enjoying themselves too. Working from January to December can tell on the body if one fails to take some time out. Igbos chill out too by touching base with their kinsmen and killing time on a roasted meat and raw Palm wine.

3. To see papa and mama
No man in his right senses will easily forget the ones that birth him forth. This been said, an Igbo man will definitely give in to travel to know how papa and mama are doing. You know, Wishing mama and papa well on phone is not enough to check on them.
