4 things you must say goodbye to after you get married
Marriage is nothing if not compromise. You will literally share the rest of your life with another person, and no matter how well you both met, you would have to make changes in your life once you marry. Your spouse is a jerk if he or she asks you to change your life drastically, but when she is telling you to stop texting that one person, they don’t mean it.
I’ll be honest with you; how anyone else would have you live is not easy to adapt. You may even find them controlled in the beginning, but there’s a good line between control and being an individual who just wants to run smoothly in the joint life of the two of you.
Here are 4 things you must say goodbye to after you get married.
- Putting yourself first
Let me explain, this doesn’t mean you need to put them in the first place. This means you must first put what is best for you BOTH. You couldn’t believe it was the same as when you two went out. You might make an excuse if you didn’t think you’d like your mother to not meet your partner.
But you can’t keep her from meeting your wife forever if you are close to your mother. Maybe they’re going to be the best of friends or the worst of enemies; you can’t override your concerns. You must also change your priorities and think about what the two of you will benefit from.
You can’t be the same happy man before you got married. Some days late you can’t think it’s okay to pay the electricity bill because you wanted the money to buy something for yourself. You’d have to change without a doubt.
You know some things are better and your spouse knows some things are better. You have the right to say no to them if they are irrational, but if you are irrational, they have the right to tell you not to be. Every relationship is bound to have its ups and downs, it’s on you two whether you purposely let the relationship go down or whether you guys try your absolute best so that it never reaches that point.
Leaving your matrimonial home for sleepovers at your friends’ must be trashed out. Spontaneous sleeping is out of the question unless you have told your husband in advance.
- Taking marriage advice from single friends
The structure is different and individual friends don’t have an idea what married life is like. Marriage politics – when you get married, you only have to experience it.
- Posting sexually provocative photos on social media
Posting semi-nude photos on social media is an outcry for male attention and public reassurance and for certain men the shirtless pictures are also a temptation recipe especially if you have a well-cut physique.
