16-year-old girl who accused her father of raping her in Port Harcourt makes U-turn
A 16-year-old girl who accused her father of raping her in Port Harcourt, River State, has made a U-turn and changed her story at the police station, alleging that an evil spirit led her to make the ‘false’ complaint.
According to the human rights organization, Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, the adolescent reported her father raping her to the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo on Tuesday, November 22nd.
She changed her mind at the Human Rights Desk, Rivers State Police Headquarters, Moscow Road when she told investigators and detectives that she had been seduced by an evil spirit to falsely accuse her father.
“Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign was contacted upon her complain to the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, PortHarcourt,” the group said in a statement on Thursday.
“Members Of Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign and members of the community vigilance group took the 16-year-old girl and her father to the Human Rights desk at Rivers State Police headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
In a twist, she told the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni who also doubles as head of the Human Rights Desk at the Police headquarters that she was influenced by an evil spirit to accuse her father falsely.
