12 options to have fun with the kids while on vacation
Whenever the holiday period approaches, fathers and mothers need to unfold on the difficult mission of finding ways to keep the kids entertained, preferably by staying as long as possible away from TV, video game and computer.

A beautiful family trip is always unforgettable, but factors such as money and work commitments from parents do not always allow the family to enjoy traveling, especially if it is a large one.

Even so, vacations represent more than a moment away from studies, they are an excellent opportunity to get close to, get out of the rut and strengthen the relationship between parents, children and siblings through experiences that can be remembered for a lifetime.

For you to enjoy this period in the best way having fun together with your children, we have selected some options of activities that you can do together to guarantee an unforgettable and very profitable vacation even without traveling far from home.

To do indoors
1. Cooking class
With the supervision of a responsible adult, preparing a chocolate cake or any other recipe can be a great fun guarantee for both girls and boys. As a matter of fact, you can use it to teach the hygiene necessary to prepare anything in the kitchen, the dangers of fire and knives, and the need to always have an adult with you.
After that, just prepare the aprons, the confectionery and put your hand in the dough without worrying about the mess they are sure to make.

2. Theater, music and dance
An infallible way to amuse the children is to propose that they perform a play at home themselves. Let them do the stage production themselves, create the costumes, dress up for each other and perform singing and dancing.

You can enter the mood and participate or just be part of the audience, shooting and filming everything so the little artists can watch it all later.

3. Popcorn Session
This is an activity that costs very little and can be very fun, especially on rainy or cold days. Let your children choose their favorite characters and superheroes, prepare the TV room by leaving it as dark as the movies, spreading pillows, pillows and blankets, making it all comfortable. Make plenty of popcorn, juice or hot chocolate and watch with them.

If so, let them invite some friends. Suggest that they draw the tickets for the entrance of each session and do not worry, because surely the fun is because of the creativity they have to spare.

4. Party of the Pajama
When a child joins another, it’s fun, but if parents contribute and participate, things can get even better. Organizing a pajama party and inviting one or more little friends or cousins to participate can certainly be a great party. To increase, you can arrange fun pillows and separate the pillows for the famous war that sooner or later happens.

After that, the little ones fall asleep and can be woken up the next day with a delicious breakfast.

5. Storytelling
Once upon a time … So you can start an afternoon of adventures that can last until the evening. If you are not in the habit of reading to your children, they will certainly love getting out of the rut with this activity that awakens the child’s imagination, stimulates their creativity and sharpens the taste for reading that will be central in adulthood.

To begin with, you can pay a visit to the children’s session at a bookstore and choose some books. At the time of telling the story, you can caprichar in the interpretations and make everything even more interesting.

6. Games Championships
Children are stimulated from small to competitive. Whether it is at school or between siblings, competition is present and they love it, but in any type of competition, the most important thing is to make them understand that knowing how to compete is much more important than winning.

Thinking about it, proposing a mini-championship of board games, dominoes, cards, mime or even video games, can be a fun means of integration. And they can make the medals themselves, while you prepare a special toast for all participants and champions.

To do away from home

1. Clubs and swimming pools
No child resists an afternoon at the pool. If you do not have a pool and are not part of any club where you can take the kids to enjoy a sunny day, the option may be the water parks where you pay the entrance and can stay all day.

Do not forget to take sunscreen, buoys and snacks and fruits, because staying in the water usually leaves the hungry little ones.

2. Picnic
No need to go too far to find a beautiful park with grass and a shady tree for you to take the kids for a picnic. In your city, there must probably be a perfect space for that.

Program yourself and let them help you choose the fruits and prepare the food you will take. After lunch, playing outdoors can close the tour with a golden key.

3. Fishery
Even the busiest children can surrender to a good family fishing. In addition to allowing for a more peaceful conversation, this activity also helps to develop the concentration and especially the patience of the children who are anxiously waiting for a goldfish.

Some fishing grounds offer special attractions for children to have fun while parents relax, but ideally everyone should join in the activity together.

4. Camping
This is a perfect activity to unite the whole family, a camp. And if the family is not the adventurous type, even the backyard can be the scene of that experience. If possible, provide flashlights, sleeping bags and tents, otherwise a tent and blankets tent set up in the living room is already working.

For anyone who ventures into the backyard, prepare the repellent and get into the mood without giving up and go to bed at night.

5. Parks
There is no way to talk in the park without thinking of fun, so this is one of the most visited attractions during the holidays. In addition to the amusement parks, there are also public parks, where you can play ball, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading and more, activities that for children, are welcome at any time of the year.

6. Cultural Programming
During the holidays, there are several cultural attractions geared specifically for children. Visiting museums, exhibitions and aquariums can be a fun and at the same time enriching experience from a cultural point of view.

To make yourself beautiful, try to stay within the theme of the exhibition, so you can play the role of guide yourself and have the pleasure of teaching your child.

Now you already have several options to have fun with your children during the period without classes. Enjoy, good holiday!

Buhari: 12 million Nigerian children are afraid of attending school

post-image

According to President Buhari, 12 million children in the country have been traumatized and are frightened to attend  school because of the high prevalence of kidnapping.

On Tuesday, October 26, the President announced this during the launch of the Safe School Programme in Abuja.

The President, who was represented at the ceremony by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, also stated that dealing with security concerns in the country has been difficult.

“The incessant attacks on the country’s education system such as kidnapping, abduction of pupils/students, increased activities of insurgence and general insecurity in our schools have exacerbated many factors responsible for the growing number of out-of-school children.

It is disheartening to note that even when the abducted students are released, the trauma of the incidences remains long in their minds; hence the plan to have teachers trained on psycho-social support.

John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of the APC caretaker committee, said on Thursday, October 21 at the inauguration of the state congress appeal committee in Abuja that all members of the APC should see disagreements “within the party as family disputes and should not seek to destroy the platform which helped them in the past.”

“With the huge membership strength we have recorded during the last registration and revalidation exercise, there is no doubt that Nigerians still trust us and that we will win all the upcoming elections convincingly, starting from the governorship elections in Anambra, to Osun, Ekiti, and to the 2023 general election,” he said.

“Therefore, there is a greater need to sustain the trust of our party men and women and indeed all Nigerians.
